They start with a fine piece of leaded crystal, then either boiled in distilled water at a very high temp or placed in boiling oil at an even higher temperature for a short period of time. The time is critical because the crystal fractures internally. The result is an outstanding and unique piece of the crystal art. The sparkle is further enhanced.
